Three Rivers National Monument - December 2010

Very cool place we discovered  - we were looking for a place to hike - Three Rivers National Monument.

Loaded with petrogyphs - the most I have ever seen in one place.

Roadrunner eating a snake.

Lots of geometric designs - footprints!

I loved the lime green moss.

This guy was unfortunately shot by a couple of arrows.

OOooooh - scary dude!

I loved these two neighbors.

Snakes!

I would not like to fall into any of these torn bushes - ouch!

Jason liked this very cool fish.

This 12 year old girl got lost and followed us back to the parking lot - we heard her ENTIRE life story in 20 minutes!  Never a dull moment!

New Furniture - 2010

Finally - furniture we both agreed on!

Christmas 2010

 Christmas 2010
 Ahhhhhhh, fire!
One can never have too many stockings.
Someone's always gotta be sticking their tongue out!
Fun with the timer and tripod.
Holly's gift - not the same as the one she left for Heather and Dale!
 New hat - go mountaineers!
 Cool new bracelet for Heather!
Love the hats, Warren and Vicki!
Tough guy and his trusty new holster.

Roswell Chile Harvest 2010

 Chile Harvest - 2010
We had a gigantic chile crop this year.
This is just a small sampling! Jalapeno poppers, pickled hot peppers, pickled jalapenos, stuffed peppers, jalapeno chicken, enchiladas, tacos, oh my!

Landscaping Project 2010

Yeah!  No more overgrown stinky evergreen bushes!  No more digging out piles of leaves trapped in the bushes - no more scraping up my arms!
I have always wanted a spot for pansies.
We LOVE the new atlas cedar tree - looks like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree!

Bear Lake Trail - Rocky Mountain Park

 Bear Lake - Lunch!
Self portrait - the old hold the camera in front of your face trick!
We hiked around this lake as well.
 Can I move here please!
 Chipmunk yoga!
Don't you think my stripes are sexy?
 Loved the crazy grasses.
We found this waterfall on our hike - Jason took this picture while standing on a rock in the middle of the river.
 The top of the falls.
The aspen were simply gorgeous!  So was the hiker!
I tried to color coordinate my shirt with the forest.
 Nice facebook profile pic!
You gotta love this tree - we did!

Lily Lake - Rocky Mountain National Park - Sept. 2010

I want to live here!  An old church with a spectacular view - right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Lily Lake - our first stop inside the park.  We hiked around the lake.
We saw two guys scuba diving in the lake - why?  It was tiny, shallow, and a little bit chilly!
 A very happy duck!

These little guys were everywhere!  Chip or Dale?  This guy was munching on a pine cone.
